Considered the prototype of the English shoe. Although it was originated in 1830s, it did not become fashionable until 1870. However, some authors date its use back to the 18th century, with the shape of a short boot used by university students on their walks around the campus of this city; others place it in Ireland and Scotland. All of them agree to confirm that the prototype of the model that has come to our days was born in London, in the workshop of John Lobb (a craftsman who customized the shoes for the Prince of Wales, known as the "shoemaker of kings and king of shoemakers"), and is characterized by being made in three pieces: the tip, part of the front body and the piece of the laces.
